Homeowner: Lucky to Be Alive After Car Crashes into Home, Ignites

By: KARK 4 News
Updated: April 29, 2012

After a car crashes through a home in the 7700 block of Arch Street, the homeowner says she's  lucky to be alive.

Investigators say a car careened into the house, then caught fire. The home, too, lit up and is now a total loss.

Sunday KARK talked with the homeowner Cathy Bobo. She was at work at the time of the crash. Even though she lost nearly everything she owns, even lost her beloved dog, she still feels blessed.

"They said I'm lucky because if I was off [work], I would have been in there," Bobo said, as she looked on at the charred remains of her home.

Bobo is staying with family for now. Investigators are still working on this case to see why exactly the driver crashed into the home. We are told the driver was not injured.
