There is now less than a week for aspiring math and science teachers to take advantage of the University of Central Arkansas's Transition to Teaching program.

It's designed for people with math and science backgrounds to get a masters degree in teaching.

If accepted into UCA, the transition to teaching program provides up an up to 5 thousand dollar grant to cover tuition and fees.

Students have to agree to teach in a high need school in Little Rock or North Little Rock for 3 years.
