Update: Cooking Accident Caused Little Rock Apartment Fire

Little Rock fire officials tell KARK a fire at an apartment complex was caused by a stove top cooking accident. 

Captain Jason Weaver with the LRFD says the fire started after a cooking fire in apartment #27 got out of control.

The fire at West Park Meadow apartments was called in Friday at 4:34. Captain Weaver says it took firefighters almost an hour to extinguish it.

On any given day there about 100 firefighters on duty in the LRFD. Captain Weaver says this fire was so intense it needed 35 firefighters to battle it.
