The Arkansas Literary Festival is being touted as a success this weekend.
The festival features 100 presenters in venues all over the city.
But while romance and mystery of course had their place, this year, the festival was also highlighting some unique genres from graphic novels and comic books, to plays, even one book on the artistry of sharpening colored pencils.
Festival organizers say this is a rare opportunity to explore books in a new way and to interact with authors who may just share a dream with those in the audience.
"Writers are people who have fulfilled a dream. They wanted to write a book and get it published and the presenters who are here today have fulfilled that dream," said Susan Gele with the Central Arkansas Library System.
Listeners have heard tips on the creative process and publishing. The festival continues Sunday. For more information, click here.
