Petrino Text: Is the Mood to Fire Me or to Keep Me???

Text messages released Thursday evening by the University of Arkansas detail Former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino asking athletic department employees about the future of his position.

ArkansasSports360.com obtained the text messages through a Freedom of Information Act request.

According to ArkansasSports360.com, Petrino sent a text message to Associate Athletic Director Chris Wyrick asking what he thought would happen.

"... Is the mood to fire me or to keep me???" Petrino texted the evening of April 6, according to ArkansasSports360.com.

Wyrick responded by saying, "My gut is that he wants it to work."

Other messages showed an apologetic Petrino including an April 7 text he sent to Athletic Director Jeff Long, according to ArkansasNews.com.

"I just want you to no how sorry I am that this all happened!!," Petrino wrote.

ArkansasSports360.com also reports Petrino sent someone a text inquiring whether information could be pulled off his telephone.

"So Andy can they get content off my text," Petrino asked.
