Facing the Facilities' Facts

Today begins a long series of appointments the states superintendents will have with a state task force on educational facilities. They will be reviewing the data collected about their districts over the summer. That datas been compiled and presented to lawmakers as a 4.5 billion dollar bill to make all repairs right now. Arkansas faces a court mandate to give each public schoolchild a substantially equal place to learn. Superintendents want to make sure the datas correct and that repairs completed since the assessments are subtracted from cost projections.
