UPDATE: Overnight Homicide on Chicot Road

One victim is dead and another hospitalized after a late night shooting.
Police were called to the 11500 block of Chicot Road around 10:45 Wednesday night.
According to a police report, four friends were standing on the front porch at a home there when two unidentified men walked up to them asking for a cigarette. The suspects then walked next door and reportedly started shooting at the group.
Pedro Perez, 36, was shot in the back and Mario Sanchez, 23, was hit in the foot. Both men were taken to an area hospital where Perez later died. The other two men were not hurt.
The suspects have only been described as black men around 5'6" weighing 160-170 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
