Arkansas State University campuses at Newport and Beebe will seek grants to build major, multi-million-dollar centers now that the university systems board has approved the projects. Both campuses will apply to the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation for capital grant funding for the projects. The scope of the work was outlined for board members during a teleconference meeting Monday. At Beebe, officials will seek a Reynolds grant to build a 13 million dollar aquarium and science center, and ASU Newport hopes to receive funding to build a five million dollar transportation-education center.
