David Letterman Staying With "Late Night"

David Letterman will keep making America laugh in late night.

According to the Wall Street Journal, CBS extended Letterman's contact through 2014. There had been speculation that the host was planning to retire.

He launched his "Late Night" run in 1982. His new deal means Letterman is poised to be the longest-running late night talk show host.
