"This guy's a great head coach, make no mistake of it."
On Wednesday nights during football season, folks can find Coach Petrino hosting a radio show at the Catfish Hole in Fayetteville.
Pat Gazzola is the owner, and says Petrino is an amazing coach.
"Your program's only as good as the head coach. Imean that's the gospel fact...He doesn't just do something, there's a purpose behind everything he does."
Gazzola says Petrino is also a family man and he knew the coach enjoyed motorcycles, but was shocked by the accident.
"I'm hoping that he has a 100-percent recovery. I'm sure he's going to be a little sore for quite some time."
After driving by the crash scene, he says Coach Petrino is very lucky.
"It looked like he probably fell in some brush, I don't know that as a fact, but it would appear that way...On down the road it's nothing but rock, so it could have been worse, I'm sure."
As an avid Hog fan and University of Arkansas alum, Gazzola is wishing Coach Petrino a speedy recovery.
"He loves the city of Fayetteville and the state of Arkansas, absolutely loves it here...He's a great fellow, a wonderful family man, and I'm proud to kind of call him a friend, I sure am."
As many others are also hoping for Coach Petrino's speedy recovery, we will be sure to keep you updated with any new information.
