Arkansas Students Take Test For Last Time

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Arkansas students have taken the Stanford Achievement Test for the last time. Fifth and seventh-graders posted higher than average scores on the national standardized test last year. Some school officials say thats because students were prepared by the Arkansas Benchmark Exam -- which they say is tougher. The future of another national standardized test for Arkansas students is unclear. As the debate on court-ordered education reform continues, Governor Huckabee and business leaders have called for a national test that will measure Arkansas students compared to their peers in other states.
