Pulaski County Special School District Proud Of Its Own

Many say a good teacher is worth their weight in gold, and the Pulaski County Special School district honoring of one of it's own today.

John Havel of Mills University Studies High School has been named English teacher of the year by the Arkansas Advanced Initiative for Math and Science.

This award recognizes outstanding advanced placement math, science and english teachers for their contributions to their students and the teaching profession.

Havel will receive a cash award and will be recognized at a special awards dinner in Washington, D.C. May 23, 2012.
