Contract Talks Continue

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Delay, plus a looming first day of school, equals frustration for hundreds of people waiting for a contract to teach in the Pulaski County Special School District. Four hours of talks today came after an impromptu session following last nights school board meeting. There, teachers claimed administration was trying to keep the board in the dark financially by using faulty budget numbers. The union says those bad numbers have also hampered contract talks. After last nights presentation, talks went better today according to the union. Support staff in the district are also fighting to work out a contract deal before that first bell rings Monday morning.
