The Arkansas Association of Educational
Administrators are holding their summer conference this week in Little Rock.
The gathering includes about 1,200 superintendents, principals and other school administrators.
Monday the group is discussing education legislation that passed
during this springs legislative session, and especially how it
will affect them financially. Many school finance officers have
expressed concerns about new state requirements they must meet with
no additional money. Education Director Ray Simon is to address
some administrators later Monday.
The conference began Monday morning in downtown Little Rock and
wraps up Wednesday, when Governor Huckabee is to address the group.
