UPDATE: Party City Fire Sparked by "Incendiary Means"

April 4th Update:

Fire officials say March's fire at Little Rock's Party City was set by someone.

Investigators are now looking into whether that someone set the fire intentionally or accidentally.

The estimated damage to the structure is one million dollars while the content damage is estimated at 350-thousand dollars.


March 7th:

"We have seen a rash of structure fires in the last couple of weeks. in the last 3 days we've had four structure fires."

This structure fire makes five.

Black smoke is seen billowing from the roof.

Almost seems uncontainable.

"The wind has hampered us in many of those fires."

Maybe this one too.

Front End Supervisor, Nicole Stehle, says, "It just engulfed!! it was really quick!"

Witnesses began taking this video when the fire first started.

Excited and shocked employees say they used this fire extinguisher to help put out the flames.

"I said ken there's a fire, he came out and he said what!? so i went up there i was like come here look!"

The looked, and made sure all the customers were out and then got out themselves.

Very shortly after, 8 units pulled up to the scene unloaded their hoses and went to work on putting this fire out.

The future, says Brad Matthews, Assistant Manager, uncertain for these employees.

"What happens now? I don't know."
