A Little Rock woman is recovering from injuries suffered when she was dragged along the ground by a purse snatcher in a Hillcrest parking lot last night.

Police say a friend who saw it happen then rammed the suspect's getaway car but was unable to stop the man.

It happened at Kavanaugh Blvd. and Walnut Street around 10 o'clock.

Police say Alicia Livdahl suffered severe road rash to her face and arms and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to the police report, Livdahl's purse had been draped across her neck as she walked to her vehicle. The man grabbed her purse as she was getting inside and the force knocked her to the ground. That didn't stop the suspect from holding onto the purse even though he was dragging the woman behind him. A short distance away was a waiting car.

Before he could get inside the waiting car, Livdahl's friend tried to stop them by hitting that car with her own. The man still got away with Livdahl's purse.

The purse snatching suspect is described by police as a medium to dark skinned black man in his 20s to 30s. He's about 5'8" tall with a medium build and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The car he jumped into is described as a dark gray sedan, possibly a Honda, with damage to the rear passenger side.

Detectives have some information on suspects that they are working on, but there has not yet been an arrest in the case.
