Lady Trojans OK with Bye

For the fifth year in a row the Lady Trojans are Sun Belt Western Division champs and that means an extra day of rest in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. By winning the division they receive a first round bye in the tournament.
UALR Head Coach Joe Foley explains why skipping that first round game could pay off later in the tournament, "It's huge, you know, the first round games are always , I feel like your hardest and sometimes it don't help you in that, but if you win that, then it starts becoming a factor and you don't want to have to try to win four games in four days, that really wears you down, so it's a really big factor if you can get bye that first game and then those next two or three it kind of starts to help you out a little bit. "
The UALR Lady Trojans will play the winner of the South Alabama-Arkansas State game which tips off Saturday afternoon at 2:45.
The Lady Trojans game is scheduled for 2:30 Sunday afternoon.
