A fire rips through and guts an old building in Garland County.

A fire struck the Meyers Plumbing building at 300 Albert Pike Road in Hot Springs at around 6:45pm.

According to Hot Springs Fire Officials the building is a loss. Roads that were shut down due to the intensity of fire are now re-opened.

Fire officials say they're leaving a truck at the scene just in case embers strike another fire.
