Research Shows Stem Cells Could Boost Fertility

Experts were able to isolate egg-producing stem cells from women's ovaries and then use them to produce normal egg cells in lab experiments.
Similar studies in mice showed when these stem cells were transplanted into the ovaries of infertile females. They then grew into eggs that eventually developed into healthy offspring.
Scientists believe the same is possible in humans and are exploring the possibility of human stem cell banks to help improve all types of infertility treatments.
