Amnesty Period for Fines and Costs in LR District Criminal Court

Anyone who has fallen behind on fines or court costs to the Little Rock District Criminal Court has a chance to pay now, have their late fees waived and avoid possible arrest.
A two-month-long Amnesty Program takes effect on Monday (February 27th) and runs through April 30th.
"I am announcing an Amnesty Program for those who have outstanding unpaid fines, costs or fees owed to Little Rock District Criminal Court. If you owe outstanding fines and court costs to the Little Rock District Criminal Court (City of Little Rock) and currently have a non-payment warrant outstanding for your arrest, you may be able to qualify for this new Amnesty Program. The Amnesty Program offers you the opportunity to pay your outstanding fines and court costs without being arrested or spending any time in jail," says Judge Alice Lightle, Little Rock District Judge, Criminal Court.
If you are behind on your fines and costs payments, you may go to the Criminal Clerk's office in the Little Rock District Court Building, 600 West Markham, Monday-Friday from 8AM to 4PM to pay your account in full, with all late fees being waived and no questions being asked.
If you decide to take advantage of the Amnesty Program, you will NOT be arrested, NO additional court costs will be added for the non-payment arrest warrant, and you will NOT be required to appear before the judge.
Another added benefit is that your State Income Tax refund will not be intercepted to pay outstanding fines and costs if you pay through the Amnesty Program BEFORE issuance of your tax refund by the State of Arkansas.

Here is how the Amnesty Program works:
- You will be required to pay your fines and court costs in full if your balance is less than $800.
- For those who owe more than $800, you would be required to pay up to the $800 amount and agree to immediately start paying the balance in monthly installments.
- You will NOT be arrested and any non-payment warrant from the Little Rock District Criminal Court will be recalled.
- If your Driver's License has been suspended by the Little Rock District Court Criminal Judge due to a non-payment warrant being issued and you pay your account in full, it will be reinstated, though you may be required to pay a reinstatement fee with the State Driver Control Office.
