Cotton Plant Pastor Arrested for Rape

A developing story out of the Cross County town of Wynne where thirty-nine year old James Edward Davis is charged with four counts of rape.
Family members say his alleged victim is now pregnant.
Davis is the pastor of Morning Star Baptist Church in Cotton Plant.
Police say the alleged victim, a 14 year old girl, is the daughter of the pastor's ex-girlfriend. Her family allowed her to live with the pastor and his current wife in their Wynne home, as the girl's mother remains in jail.
Police say she described several incidents dating back to 2010, one in which the pastor told the girl, she could have sex with him in place of being punished.
Davis will appear in court March 8th.
