FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - For the first time since 2001, Arkansas has earned a spot in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. The Razorbacks are the No. 8 seed in the Oakland Region and will play No. 9 seed Bucknell (26-4) in the first round on Friday at the American Airlines in Dallas, Texas.
The winner of the Arkansas-Bucknell game will play the winner of the game between No. 1 seed Memphis (30-3) and No. 16 seed Oral Roberts (21-11) on Sunday.
The Hogs finished 22-9 in the regular season including 10-6 in the Southeastern Conference. This years appearance marks the 28th time Arkansas has advanced the NCAA Tournament. The Hogs won the national championship in 1994, were national runner-up in 1995 and advanced to the Final Four in 1941, 1945, 1978 and 1990.
