Police in Neon, Kentucky have arrested a grocery store burglar following a bizarre break-in.

Officers found Andrew Toothman, 23, inside the store covered in chocolate and peanut butter, and wearing nothing but black boots..

His grandfather thinks he knows why.

"Somebody sneaked him something," said John Hall. "Maybe bath salts."

On Monday, the IGA grocery store in Neon replaced the glass troopers say Toothman busted out to get in the store.

Hall says he raised his grandson like a son, and he says this is not like him.

"He was an outstanding young man," said Hall. "Anybody would tell you that."

However, Toothman's troubles continue.

He had an assault added to his charges after a deputy at the Letcher County Jail says Toothman slapped him across the face.

Toothman's family says he needs psychiatric help, not a jail cell.

Comments

Really he was slipped something and he needs psychiatric help. Right!
