Search On for Man Who Fell Off Cliff

Deputies from Montgomery County and surrounding agencies are looking for a 24-year-old man who reportedly fell off a cliff around 3 o'clock Wednesday morning.

This happened near Highway 27 North near the Fishing Village at the river bridge. Montgomery County Sheriff's Office dispatched Sulphur/Laverna first responders and Southwest Emergency Medical Service to the scene.

Deputy Sheriff Chad Davis arrived on scene and immediately requested additional assistance. A short time later additional deputies arrived along with officers of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to assist in the search and rescue efforts. Sheriff David White called Garland County asking for assistance of their dive team who responded.
