When Heidi Walker couldn't find volunteers to drive a 15 week old pup from Virginia to Long Island, she enlisted the help of "Pilots and Paws."
The group of pilots volunteer their time and spend their own money to fly pets to new homes. Kevin Ford flew the adorable pooch part of the way.
"That's what makes it all worthwhile," says Ford, "'cause you know you're doing some good helping out somebody, helping out the pet especially....And at the same time, getting some flying in."
