Murder-Suicide in Calhoun County

The Calhoun County Coroner says a man shot and killed his ex-wife, then turned the gun on himself.

Coroner Johnnie Davis says Rhonda Tacker went to her ex-husband's house on Calhoun Highway 182 in Hampton around midnight Friday night, upset by something he'd put on Facebook.

But Davis says Dennis Queen dead-bolted them inside and shot his ex-wife with a pistol four times before shooting himself.

Neighbors alerted sheriff's deputies early Saturday afternoon after they noticed blood near Queen's front door.

Their bodies have now been sent to the state crime lab. The two had been divorced about six months.
