Worthie Springer is the epitome of looks being deceiving.

He's a teenager who has dreams beyond what eyes can see.

With encouraging parents by his side, Worthie believes his faith matters so much nothing can stop him.

Robert Springer says his son Worthie is the apple of his eyes. 'I tell people I can't ever make excuses because he doesn't I am blessed to have him as a son. Really am. And he's my hero."

The 8th grader who loves playing video games with his little brother, is an 'A' student with plans to go to Harvard and get a PhD. The teenager is also a kid preacher who's already delivered his first sermon.

Worthie says, 'The Lord wants me to go out and be a great preacher and get an education. So that's right kids go get an education It's very important.'

He does all this despite a word that's not allowed in his home. That word is 'disability'.

Worthie was born with Peters Anomaly. A rare disease that affects his eye sight. Thanks to a cornea transplant when he was 21 days old he has some vision but only in one of his eyes.

Wothie explains it saying, 'I don't have no far vision but I can see details stuff and I thank God for that.'

His mother Bo says, 'With his disability he really doesn't have any. There are some people who have 20/20 and don't do as much as he does.'

Worthie says he sees life through gods eyes. that means seeing good in every situation. 'The Lord gotcha. Don't worry. You may have a hard day today. Tomorrow maybe a whole lot better.'

And he's also not short on giving out advice. Especially to families who may be having a hard time.

'Christmas is about celebrating Jesus' birth and being with your family that's the one thing. If you believe in God He will give you the things that you desire.'

Worthie even has a website set up where you can listen to a song he wrote and sang. You can click here to go to it.
