Jay Bir is an anchor/reporter for KARK 4 Sports.
He first joined KARK 4 in 2006 as a news and sports photographer. In 2007, Jay began filling in for the Game of the Week for our Fearless Friday high school football coverage. That same year, he also began anchoring KARK's Fearless Friday Underground analysis web show.
Jay was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma but grew up in Sunrise, Florida and moved to Arkansas with his family in 1998, where he attended high school at Sylvan Hills. After graduation in 2002, Jay headed to ASU in Jonesboro, and he's been a Red Wolf ever since.
Growing up in Florida and being a sports fan, Jay became a follower of the Miami sports scene. The Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins, and Florida Panthers are the favorite teams that he follows.
While not working on sports, you can find Jay still watching sports. He is also an avid runner and is still a kid at heart and loves to play video games.
Jay and his wife Kat live in Sherwood with their young son Ace, and "Doc," their dachshund-beagle mix.
