Arkansas Fishing Report: October 28 - 30

The hot spot right now by far is Lake Conway. The crappie's on fire on the 89 bridge, which is good because you don't need a boat there.
Gold Creek and Caney Creek are also biting on minnows.
Lake Overcup, the crappie's moving in five- to eight foot; black and chartreuse seem to be the good jig right now.
I went to the Arkansas River Sunday and caught a lot of bass at the backwater using a rattletrap and a spinner bait.
Lake Dardanelle, the crappie's biting in Spadra; crappie will bite on minnows.
