The Arkansas Realtors Association released some preliminary figures of the September 2011 housing report that comes out in full on Friday.
"In the Northwest and Central parts of the state it is our belief that we see a market recovering but not yet recovered," said Amy Glover Bryant, Director of Communications for the statewide association. "Sales for the 28 county area covered in our sneak peek are up 12.36% for the month and down only 1.37% for the year. Prices are down less than a percent for the month and down a little more than 3 percent for the year through September.
"This is a good indication that Arkansas is going to see another month of positive home sales," continued Bryant.
The report shows the following healthy increases in comparing September 2010 to September 2011:
Saline County home sales up 34.44-percent
Faulkner County home sales up 25.64-percent
Pulaski County home sales up 18.95-percent
Washington County home sales up 8.89-percent
Benton County home sales up 8.16-percent
