Safety Questions about Some Jeeps, Hondas

By: Newsroom Solutions
Updated: September 27, 2011
Federal regulators are looking into problems with hundreds of thousands of Jeep and Honda vehicles.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching a preliminary investigation into airbag deployment problems with more than 380-thousand Jeep Liberty SUVs.

The probe of the 2002 and 2003 model year Liberty vehicles is the first step in a process that could lead to a recall later.

The NHTSA is also opening a preliminary probe into 20-thousand 2009 Honda Odyssey minivans.

Complaints have been received about unexpected closing of the Odyssey's liftgate.
