Changes Coming North Of The River

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
For many Arkansans, it`s always been the "other" city on the river. North Little Rock leaders say that image is changing, and it`s bringing more money and attention to their city. While financing plans for a new Travs ballpark are not final, they are moving forward, and Mayor Pat Hays says the new addition should not include any new taxes for residents. A short walk away, the U.S.S. Razorback is getting ready to open for tours this Sunday. It`s also preparing for a new neighbor; the U.S.S. Hoga, a tugboat that survived the attack on Pearl Harbor, is expected to start its journey to North Little Rock this summer. New attractions are also leading to new interest in residential development. Condominiums and apartment complexes are expected to go in off Main Street and near the new ballpark.
