A federal judge in Little Rock on Monday sentenced a former Northeast Arkansas coach and dean of students, accused of sex crimes. 48 year old Robert Jennings will spend the next 8 years in prison. In addition, he must register as a sex offender and attend mental counseling. Back in February, Jennings pleaded guilty to improper sexual contact with minors in 1996. At the time, he was working in the Marked Tree school district. Jennings crime became a federal case, because he took his teenage male victim across state lines. One of the accusers testified that Jennings, his coach at the time, drove him to St. Louis to commit the sexual wrongdoing. Victim Jason Webb was in court for the sentencing. "I still have a lot of problems communicating with my wife when she`s sad or upset," said Webb. I can`t show her affection. I`ve been to a psychiatrist and some of that stuff you can`t work through." 2nd Judicial District Prosecutor Brent Davis said he was happy they didnt run out of time, considering the statue of limitations.
