More of Arkansas brave men and women of the military are back home with their families. 40 members of the Arkansas Air National Guards 189th Civil Engineering Squadron returned to Little Rock Air Force Base on Saturday afternoon, after a 4 month deployment in Iraq.
The airmen were greeted by family, friends, and fellow guard members on the tarmac, as they flew aboard a C-130 cargo aircraft. While serving overseas, they used their skills as electricians, plumbers, and power generation specialists to keep the Balad Air Base operating around the clock.
Some of the airmen will have about 2 weeks, before heading back full time to the National Guard. In about a month, all of them will be honored at a welcome home celebration at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
