THE BRAKES FAILED.....

"The brakes failed." That`s the explanation police say a Little Rock school bus driver gave after his bus ran off the road with 8 children inside. The group was on a regular after-school route headed south on Mablevale Pike when something went wrong. The bus missed a curve, bounced across a ditch, losing it`s bumper and windshield in the process. Seven of the children on board suffered bumps and bruises and were taken to Arkansas Children`s hospital. The driver and one child were rushed to UAMS with what were described as moderate injuries. The district is investigating.
