Teen Charged For Destroying Civil Rights Monument

A 17-year-old could be tried as an adult for allegedly destroying a West Memphis, Arkansas civil rights monument. West Memphis police arrested the teenager early Sunday morning and charged him with overturning and breaking a ten-thousand-dollar monument to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The teenager is charged with felony defacing an object of public respect and could get up to ten years in prison. A hearing has been set for April 25th.
