A Runaway suspect was captured in Saline County late Sunday evening, after several law enforcement agencies searched a wooded area for him for hours. The search began in Benton when 38 year old Ovell Clemens of Hot Springs left the scene of a routine traffic stop. The incident happened around 3 o`clock off of highway 70. Officials say the multi-agency law enforcement search of several acres began when an Arkansas State Trooper pulled a Thunderbird over for speeding. There were 2 men in the vehicle, and both of them got out. "They found a bag in the back that contained meth products. One jumped in the car, and drove off," said Captain Jason Massey with the Saline County Sheriff`s Department. "There were some shots fired by the state trooper." Clemens was later caught.
