Accused kidnapper arrested in Arkansas

An accused kidnapper is behind bars in Arkansas after leading police
on a two state manhunt. 19 year old
James McCann of Washington State is being held in Conway County. Police believe he kidnapped a 17 year old girl from Plano, Texas sometime Monday night. According to FBI agents in Dallas, they had arranged to meet over the internet, but not to leave the state together. Thanks to a description of them and McCann`s Chevy Cavalier listed in an Amber Alert, Officers were able to stop the car in Menifee, Arkansas. McCann was armed with a semi-automatic pistol. The FBI also believes he committed a separate aggravated assault in Texas on his way to meet the girl.
