Record year for home sales

Pat Mote Real Estate in Benton says 2004 was a record year. That`s reflective of a national trend. The commerce department reports sales of new homes rose 8.9% in 2004 to 1.8 million unites.
That`s an all time high for the 4th year in a row.
Some analyst predict interest rates will rise to 6.5% by the end of the year which could put an end to the housing boom.
