Funding Coming For Elderly And Persons With Disabilities

Senators Mark Pryor and Blanche Lincoln and Congressmen Marion Berry, Vic Snyder, John Boozman, and Mike Ross today announced $556,560 in federal funding to supplement the elderly and persons with disabilities statewide buses and vans program. Members of the Arkansas Congressional delegation said the funding, part of a $10 million earmark the delegation secured in the Fiscal Year 2004 Omnibus Appropriations Act, will supplement the procurement of vans and small buses for Arkansas` community service organizations serving the elderly and persons with disabilities.
