23-year-old Specialist Christopher Burns from Pleasant Grove was wounded in Iraq on Tuesday. He was in a humvee with three other Arkansas soldiers and one soldier from New York, all with the 39th Infantry Brigade when a road side bomb exploded as they were driving near Baghdad. Spc. Burns and the soldier from New York were the only ones who survived. They`re now in a military hospital in Germany. Burns joined the Arkansas Army National Guard in the summer of 2001. Before becoming a soldier, Burns worked as a logger at his grandfather`s company. Burns had been in Iraq since last Februrary and was supposed to come home in March. Doctors say because of his injuries to his legs, he`ll be home in February instead. If you`d like to send Chris a card or a note, you can mail it to: Spc. Chris Burns PO Box 46 Pleasant Grove, AR 72567
