Bismarck School Closed

Vandals did so much damage to the Bismark Schools, administrators canceled class for the day. Bismarck is in Hot Spring county near De Gray Lake, about ten miles northwest of Arkadelphia. Last night a group of vandals broke into the school and caused more than $10,000 worth of damage. They stole the keys and back up keys to the school buses. Without being able to move the buses out of the parking lot, administrators decided to close school for the day. The vandals also stole the keys to the school buildings, stole food out of the concession stand, ransacked the field house, and stole personal items out of an office. Workers at the school will spend most of their weekend changing locks on the buildings, and fixing the school buses. The Friday night basketball game will go on as scheduled at the Bismarck Gym. School officials hope to have all the damage fixed by the time students return to class on Monday. The students will have to make up the missed day at the end of the school year. That means they`ll be in classes through June 2nd. Deputies with the Hot Spring Sheriff`s Department are still questioning people and looking for suspects. School administrators think students trashed the school.
