Carjacking leads to officer involved shooting

A dangerous carjacking leads to a police shootout in Little Rock. At around 1:45 Tuesday morning, 21 year old University of Arkansas student Joshua Courtney was in Little ROck visting a friend when he pulled into Watergate Apartments on Cantrell Road. He says a man forced him out of his car at gunpoint and took off in the car. Courtney called 911 and his onstar satellite service. Little Rock Police officers tracked the stolen car to the intersection of Lagrande and Chenal Avenue. The suspect, 25 year old Daniel Baker reportedly tried to run over an officer. Police fired several shots hitting Baker in the hand. He reportedly tried to run off, but officers caught him in some nearby woods. Courtney says he feels lucky to be alive. Baker is now facing charges of aggravated robbery, criminal attempt to commit capital murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
