A Special Hero in Cabot

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Megan Davis has spent her 19 years defying expectations. Autistic and unable to hear, doctors said she would never be able to walk. Megan doesn`t just walk. She runs and wins medals in the Special Olympics. One late night this fall, she also saved her brother, mother and father from dying in a house fire. The three were asleep when Megan smelled smoke. She woke the others up and made sure they made it out safe. Just seconds later, the garage exploded and the house was gutted by flames. Megan`s mom says if her daughter hadn`t woken them up, the smoke would have killed them. The family is renting a house in Cabot and hopes to have their old home ready by April.
