Parents packed the Jacksonville High School auditorium to hear about proposed changes that could affect students of all ages.
The Pulaski County Special School District says the proposals are just that and that District leaders welcome input from the community.
Some of the proposed changes include: bringing the 9th grade to Jacksonville High School, separating boys and girls into different middle schools, and providing career specialty training to high schoolers.
Many parents seemed to agree with parts of the plan, but others raised concerns. Some say the PCSSD needs to focus on providing their students with a solid core program before branching out and making the proposed changes.
