Updated: January 7, 2009
The city of Pine Bluff has passed an ordinance aimed stopping residents from hunting in the city limits. Last night the Pine Bluff city council approved an ordinance prohibiting the discharging of firearms and bows. Alderman Derwood Smith, one of the sponsors, noted that the ordinance specified that no loaded weapons would be allowed within the city limits. The exceptions are for police officers and for people with permits. Little Rock and Jonesboro have also been working to combat illegal hunting within the city limits.
