The automaker is recalling 936-thousand of its 2006 CR-V models and 2005 compact Fits.
Honda says the voluntary recall was issued to replace power window switches that apparently can cause fires when residue builds up on them.
Twenty-six thousand CR-Z vehicles were also recalled due to potentially malfunctioning software.
The automaker says it will begin letting its affected customers know about the recalls later this month.
