The Department of Labor's just released summary of the employment situation last month shows a net gain of zero jobs.
The unemployment rate remains unchanged at nine-point-one percent.
Heading into this morning's release of jobless figures, most economists had been expecting to see the addition of around 75-thousand jobs.
The rate of underemployed workers, mostly part-time employees who'd rather be working full-time, rose slightly from 16.1 percent to 16.2 percent.
