Updated: January 7, 2009
Cafe 42 opens today in Little Rock. The restaurant is a special addition to the city`s places to eat because it is in the Clinton Presidential Center, which opened last week. The restaurant -- which gets its name from Clinton`s place in the line of U-S presidents -- will feature dishes made from recipes in the Clinton Center Cookbook, Hillary Clinton`s chocolate chip cookies, a presidential salad bar, home-made soups, and a variety of sandwiches and pizzas. Cafe 42 will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m to 5 p.m and will serve Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m to 2 p.m. To eat there, it is not necessary to pay the admission fee for the library and museum. Visitors can enter at the main museum entrance, pass through security and then head downstairs to the cafe. The restaurant has inside seating for 100 and a covered terrace that seats 80.
