Flu Vaccine Mistake Could Cost State More Than $30,000

State health officials say the price could be as high at $30,000.00 dollars for re-vaccinating people who
received possibly ineffective shots of the flu shots.
As many as 300 doses of the vaccine were apparently frozen at a temporary clinic, rendering them ineffective. The doses were among those administered November third at the State Fairgrounds` Hall of Industry.
Officials say they can`t say for sure that people were given
ineffective vaccine. But the worst case scenario is that 1,300 people were given shots that won`t work.
The department is offering free shots to all 2,300 people vaccinated the day the ineffective shots were given. The shots are still being limited to people in high risk groups due to supply problems.
